Review of “The Enemy Within” by Tom Ward

I was always aware of the existence of the gay agenda for America. With so many other social issues dominating my thinking, it did not rank very high on my personal radar screen of concern. Until someone very dear to me came “out of the closet”. That changed everything. Fortunately, Tom Ward’s “The Enemy Within” was made available to me when I most needed to read this wonderful book.

Ward relates his own journey into the homosexual lifestyle. This touching view into the life of an adolescent male struggling to find his identity in an unforgiving “macho” world shamed me. I may have never initiated the teasing, the jokes, and the general cruelty inflicted upon my classmates who were deemed “queer”, but I’m sure I was a willing participant. As the self-appointed class clown and humorist, I’m sure my timely quips and a clever “turn of phrase” or two along the way, added greatly to the pain being experienced by the targets of the joke. If I had spent one/tenth the amount of energy in sharing Christ’s love as I did in being “cute” for the benefit of the girls, I may have had a positive impact on someone’s life, instead of adding to their pain. That was many years ago. I probably could not even find the “queers” who were my classmates and offer them my apologies. But to Tom Ward I offer my personal, heartfelt apologies. I should have known better.

“The Enemy Within” is a no-nonsense, uncompromising, practical handbook for leading someone out of the gay lifestyle. It is also packed with useful resources where a family can find help with this struggle. It destroys myths, provides exceedingly useful “step-by-step” instructions but above all…it sounds a clarion call for sharing the Truth. There is but One Way, One Truth, One Light…the loving saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. I hope many heed the call. I highly recommend “The Enemy Within” by Tom Ward to anyone.
